The elements / Quality of business

Eight elements make up a business.

A business already knows its CAC over lifetime value — what it received. The quality of business index scores the other question: what it is actually able to give, element by element, today against possible.

01

Innovation

Can we make what the gap requires?

The capacity to create the thing that does not exist yet. Innovation sets the ceiling of the possible score.

02

Demand

Does the market want to move?

Real pull, not pipeline. Demand is the measure of how many gaps are open and waiting to be closed.

03

Product

Does the thing close the gap?

What the business actually delivers, scored against the customer's life index rather than a feature list.

04

Service

Do we carry them the rest of the way?

Everything around the product that decides whether the value lands. Service is where most measured value is lost.

05

Content

Do we say it in their language?

The voice of the business. Content is how the business's need finds the customer's value and matches to it.

06

Operations

Can we do it again, reliably?

The machinery that makes the exchange repeatable. Operations turn a good outcome into an index that holds.

07

Awareness

Do the right people know we exist?

Reach into the rooms where the gaps are. Awareness without a matched voice is just cost.

Reserved.

The eighth element is being defined. Every index is only as good as the elements it admits — this one is held open on purpose.

The blind spot

LTV measures the money that came back. It cannot see the life that went out.

Score both sides and the gap between them becomes the plan: which business element to raise, because of which life element it moves, for which customer.
